Sunshine School & Development Center offers a early childhood education program that specializes in educational and therapeutic opportunities for children with developmental delays and disabilities. We're seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, early childhood education, with a focus on creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children with disabilities.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Lead and support teaching staff.
-Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to stimulate children's cognitive, physical, and social development.
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Promote a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
- Utilize early childhood evaluation tools to develop goals that meet the individual needs of each child.
Qualifications:
- Accepted Education requirements include: Licensed Developmental, Occupational, Physical, or Speech/Language therapist or a Bachelor's degree or Bachelor degree plus Arkansas certification in Early Childhood or Special Ed. or current Child Development Associate certification or birth to pre-K credential or 12 hours of coursework in early childhood development, special education, child and family studies.
- One year of teaching experience in special ed. or early childhood ed.
- Experience working with children who have developmental delays/disabilities.
-Experience leading and supervising teams.
- The ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
-Meet drug screening requirements.
- Background clearance from child and adult maltreatment registries and law enforcement entities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
