We are seeking candidates with exceptional communication skills, a priority for customer service, experience with medical terminology and e-ClinicalWorks, and proficiency in computer and typing skills. Preference is given to those with 3-5 years of experience in a medical office.
Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction:** Greet and assist patients upon arrival, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Guide patients and visitors to appropriate resources, explain check-in/check-out procedures, and address and resolve immediate patient issues.
- Communication:** Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently to schedule appointments and address inquiries.
- Data Management:** Perform accurate data entry, maintaining detailed patient records and information.
- Administrative Support:** Utilize computer skills for calendar management and coordinating office activities. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, proofreading, and preparing for the following day's clinical visits. Process, track, and obtain necessary referral authorizations.
- Financial Coordination:** Inform patients about deductibles, out-of-pocket expenses, co-payments, prior balances, and percentage payables to facilitate cash collections. Maintain communication with the Insurance, Billing, and Financial Counseling Departments as necessary. Reconcile daily cash sheets, post payments, and enter/verify charges accurately and promptly.
- Compliance:** Prepare and process required consent forms, ensuring necessary signatures are obtained upon patient arrival. Obtain and document all relevant patient information in their charts to support comprehensive care across all practice levels.
- Teamwork:** Work closely with the Clinic Supervisor to ensure all "front desk" responsibilities are handled effectively and contribute to the smooth operation of the clinic. Coordinate the handling of work-in appointments with the supervisor.
