Assembler, 1st Shift (5:00am - 1:30pm)

Position Summary:

The Assembler position will be responsible for assembling parts and components in order to make a finished good product such as oral care displays and kits for the retail customer.

Essential Job Functions:

• Produces displays and kits by assembling components and subassemblies
• Produces hand pack components by packing components and subassemblies
• Follows detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
• Contributes to team effort by working together to finish a display or kit
• Reports issues with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to supervisor
• To be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work at the front of the line packaging, stacking, building pallets to Pallet Specification Sheet
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Operates material handling equipment including, hand pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks and utility carts
• Material handling responsibilities including separating material for work orders, put away materials in locations when material is ordered
• When the De Vanning Team is short staffed, have the ability to unload containers with other team members.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED Preferred

Knowledge/Experience

• 1-3 years of experience assembling components, subassemblies, displays, and kits
• Prior exposure in a manufacturing or distribution environment

• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Must be able to read, speak and comprehend written work instructions that are presented in English for the effective performance of the position.
• Good Oral communication skills

The pay range for this position Assembler is $15.13 to $20.43 However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus depending on company performance.
