Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in commercial buildings. You will work closely with construction teams, contractors, and clients to ensure the electrical infrastructure is safe, reliable, and compliant with all regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and building plans to determine electrical system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems in commercial settings and provide solutions.
- Ensure all electrical installations and repairs meet national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and costly repairs.
- Work with electrical panels, circuit breakers, wiring, lighting systems, outlets, and switches.
- Collaborate with general contractors, architects, and project managers to coordinate electrical work during construction and renovation projects.
- Perform system upgrades, including replacing old wiring or adding new outlets to meet evolving needs.
- Provide timely updates to supervisors and clients on project status and completion timelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while delivering high-quality work in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician, with a minimum of 5 years working in commercial settings.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or vocational training preferred).
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience with low voltage and high-voltage systems.
- Familiarity with smart building technologies and energy-efficient solutions.
- Knowledge of lighting design and control systems.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
