About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Marina Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of the Operations department, this individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting business development efforts, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication skills are essential, as this individual will work closely with property leadership, regional controllers, and human resources.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process and confirm monthly financial statements for timely month-end closure
- Ensure complete and timely processing of end-of-day procedures
- Assist with special projects as assigned by management
- Oversee daily deposit processing (ACH, cash, credit card, checks)
- Prepare regular updates and reports for the Regional Controller on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Verify accurate coding and submission of invoices for timely processing
- Collaborate with property leadership to track expenses
- Maintain accurate financial and marina information for forecasting purposes
- Provide necessary financial information to the General Manager, including daily sales, revenue, etc.
- Monitor accounts receivable and perform collection procedures as needed
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure accurate hiring, onboarding, promotions, employee changes, and terminations
- Support HR in managing employee ADP access and record-keeping
- Work with Payroll to process payroll accurately and on time
- Adhere to departmental and Operations policies, procedures, and practices
- Assist with contract tracking, insurance, and registrations
- Address customer inquiries related to the marina, contracts, billing, and insurance
- Maintain monthly billing and record-keeping for customers
- Order property supplies, retail items, materials, and uniforms as needed
- Review new slip storage and boat club contracts for accuracy and billing
- Maintain responsibility for inventory, including inputting, quarterly counts, adjustments, and additions
- Support the General Manager and Home Office with tracking initiatives and property information
