Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Human Resource Manager
Overview: The Payroll Administrator will support the day to day activities within the Payroll /HR function of the Human Resources Department. This role manages and administers all payroll processes and procedures through efficient, accurate, and confidential completion of tasks, while following all Federal, and state payroll laws.
We are open to experienced candidates from Specialist to Managers.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Prepare and administer full cycle payroll for employees, while auditing payroll processing reports for accuracy.
· Accurately input payroll data, including new hire information, status changes, terminations, rehire and payroll changes on a regular basis. Make adjustments to the data as required.
· Manage and audit timekeeping records for compliance while working closely with Managers and Supervisors.
· Process hourly, salary and other payroll related payments accurately using payroll software on a bi-weekly and or off cycle needs.
· Resolve issues related to the payroll input and data.
· Manage employment verification request
· Provide information to the HR Manager, as requested.
· Resolve inquiries from employees regarding payroll.
· Manage and facilitates tax records for all local and municipal taxes.
· Gathers and provides docuemntation for auditor.
· Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports. Records vacation, sick, personal day and holiday in payroll system/timecards.
· Manages Max hours allowed per week.
· Sets meetings with all Managers and Supervisors for training,policy and procedure needs.
· Prepares final and any manual pay calculation following state specific final pay requirements.
· Maintain physical and digital files, ensuring accuracy across both systems.
· Prepare Records of Employment and respond to government-related inquiries.
· Process full cycle garnishments.
· Follow all Federal and State payroll regulations
· Administer new hire screen checks.
· Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (posting jobs, reviews applications, interviews).
· Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
· Provide support to the Human Resources department as required
· Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.
Experience, Qualifications, and Educational Requirements:
· 4 years of payroll experience.
· Experience Time and attendance software
· Eperience working with Paychex Flex is a plus
· Experience working in a fast paced workplace with numerous interruptions.
· Proficient use of various office based software including: Visio and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
