RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Technical Leadership : Lead mechanical design efforts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, GD&T principles, and manufacturability best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with PMO, Head of Engineering, and System & Compliance Engineers to ensure product designs meet regulatory and performance requirements.
• Design Oversight & GD&T Expertise : Provide expert guidance in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) , tolerance stack-ups, and functional design requirements.
• Product Development & DFM : Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA) while maintaining performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Reverse Engineering & CAD Design : Oversee and contribute to reverse engineering efforts, creating detailed CAD models and technical drawings using Inventor or equivalent software.
• Engineering Analysis : Conduct and review engineering analyses, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and material selection , to validate design integrity.
• Standards & Compliance : Ensure all designs comply with FAA, AS9100, and other industry standards through rigorous verification and validation processes.
• Process Improvement : Identify and implement best practices for design efficiency, quality, and manufacturability across engineering projects.
• Mentorship & Training : Guide junior engineers, providing technical mentorship, design reviews, and professional development opportunities.
