Clerk- Part Time (Library)
SUNY Broome Community College has an immediate opening for a part-time Clerk in the Library. The PT Clerk provides support to the Library Circulation Desk Monday through Thursday between the hours of 7 : 30 am - 11 : 30 am and Friday between the hours of 7 : 30 am -11 : 00 am.
This is a part-time, 12-month position with varied hours and no more than 19.5 hours a week. Duties include routine office and clerical tasks including; input of information into the Library Circulation and Catalog system, scanning barcodes from student / staff ID's, books, etc., shelving and shifting of books, answering phones, and filing.
This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, ability to multitask and work effectively in a customer service-oriented department with students, faculty, the general public, and campus constituencies, as part of a team environment.
Requirements :
The successful candidate must work independently, have computer skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and the ability to effectively communicate and work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information :
The hourly rate for this position is $16.82.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
