The Instructional Support Associate will provide Electrical Controls and Mechatronics faculty instructional support and assistance to maintain and/or improve the quality of the student's educational experience. The Instructional Support Associate is required to perform a variety of duties in the laboratory and has responsibilities as set forth below:
- Assist faculty in teaching, demonstrating equipment, and/or observing and assisting students in the development of appropriate techniques in laboratories, shops (labs), on field trips, etc.
- Under the supervision of a functional head, be responsible for the care, control, repair, maintenance, and delivery of functional materials, supplies, and equipment (including ordering supplies).
- Maintain program accounts. Including accounting, reconciliation, and purchase requisitions.
- Supervise such student assistants as may be assigned for the purpose of storing, maintaining and delivering supplies, materials, and equipment, and to provide such instruction as may be appropriate to the successful operation of the function.
- Assist faculty and/or staff with the preparation, development, and presentation of instructional and/or materials for classroom and laboratory instruction.
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or a related field OR High School Diploma and 5 years of work experience in electrical controls/instrumentation
- Experience working in the electrical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Teaching experience;
- Broad-based knowledge and experience in electrical construction and maintenance, renewable energy, and electrical instrumentation and controls.
