Responsibilities: An employee in this position is responsible for performing a variety of routine Comptroller office tasks to guarantee that all preparation for department tasks are prepared following prescribed guidelines. The work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level employee with leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative in work methods.
The Accounts Payable department is responsible for managing a company's short-term obligations to its vendors and suppliers. Its primary function is to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and to maintain good financial relationships with external parties. May be asked to do other processing, verifications, and filing, as needed; requires close attention to detail and accuracy; does related work as required.
Other: Full-time, 12 months, Civil Service (Competitive) Permanent Appointment
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 40 hours per week (one hour paid lunch). May require travel/work between both campuses.
Job Requirements:
Experience Required: Completion of 30 credit hours; OR graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year total combined work experience (work experience may include combined part-time employment).
Note: Computer literacy will be evaluated during the probationary period.
Experience Preferred: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, computer/technology experience, ability to multitask, work independently and follow directions. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Highly organized with attention to detail. Bi-lingual preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
