The Personnel Assistant/Human Resources Assistant assists in a broad array of generalist activities in support of the administration of professional and classified personnel services including, but not limited to generalist activities, SUNYHR classification/compensation, onboarding, facilitation of orientation, oversight of performance management and term renewal process, survey management and personnel administration. Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Communicate and provide customer service to all SUNY Poly staff on personnel related transactions, generate letters to employees confirming execution of personnel transactions.
Coordination of various surveys to campus community; prepare reports.
Manage performance and term renewal process of staff
Provide customer service to HR related questions via verbal and written communication.
Assist in determining, creating, and affecting policy for SUNY Poly in regard to personnel transactions and overall policy for the campus.
Assist with projects as assigned and may include automation and streamlining or internal controls.
Oversee the flow of documents relevant to HR transactions and the audit process to ensure all files are maintained in a compliant and organized manner ensuring internal controls and processes are adhered to.
Salary $50,000 - $55,000

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field from a college or university accredited by US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization OR equivalent AND a minimum of one to three years of professionally responsible experience; demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration; demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office and specifically Microsoft Excel; excellent oral and written communication skills.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual checks.
