Job Description:
SUNY is seeking a highly motivated and creative Communications Coordinator to join our compliance and student conduct training program at the SUNY SCI. As the Communications Coordinator, the qualified candidate will play a crucial role in promoting the program, raising awareness about Title IX and other federal and New York State law compliance, and engaging with our current and prospective membership through various social media platforms. The qualified candidate will collaborate with the member relations team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive enrollment and participation in our training program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution social media strategies to increase program visibility and current/prospective member engagement.
- Manage social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Threads) to create compelling content, post updates, and respond to user inquiries in a timely manner.
- Monitor social media trends and incorporate best practices to enhance our online presence.
- Track and analyze social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Create engaging and informative content for social media platforms, blog posts, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, is accurate, and reflects the SUNY Student Conduct Institute's mission and goals.
- Coordinate and develop updates to the SUNY Student Conduct Institute's web site.
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the SUNY Student Conduct Institute.
- Collaborate with the member relations team to identify target audiences and develop targeted messaging strategies.
- Utilize various marketing channels, including email marketing and content marketing, to reach prospective members.
- Engage with current and prospective members through social media platforms, online forums, and other digital channels.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, including website traffic, social media engagement
- Generate regular reports on marketing activities, key performance indicators, and trends to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize future marketing campaigns.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 1year professional experience in social media management, preferably in a an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Creative thinker with a proactive mindset and a passion for promoting education and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Title IX regulations and compliance.
- Experience working within a large, complex organization.
- Experience with or comfort with online or digital platforms.
Additional Information:
- Salary is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, training, and certifications. The range for this position is $60,000-$70,000
- This position is SL-3 and is part of the United University Professions Union.
- Excellent Benefit Package which includes: NYS health insurance, free dental and vision coverage, competitive retirement options, tuition assistance, parental leave at full pay, and generous vacation, sick, and holiday time. Generous amount of time off: 13 days of paid holidays per year; 15 days of vacation and 15 days of sick time accrued for the first year of employment. Then increases thereafter.
