What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Super 8 Motel?
Super 8 Motel is seeking a Maintenance Technician who has experience in commercial and residential businesses. We are looking for a full time employee.
DUTIES
-Conduct routine inspections of building interiors and exteriors and all equipment
-Perform building repair and maintenance (door/locks and carpentry repairs, minor electrical and plumbing/hvac issues, necessary cleaning)
-Respond to tenant requests and maintenance repairs on-site
-Coordinate with front office, tenant and hotel improvement work as required
-Coordinate with and supervise outside service providers as required
-Attend maintenance meetings and provide reports to team supervisor and operations manager
-Assist in day-to-day operations and maintenance
-Ensure all Hotel Management policies, procedures and operations are carried out effectively and efficiently
-Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience: 2 years of Building Maintenance experience
-Knowledge of general building maintenance (eg. carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, electrical, plumbing, mechanical & HVAC)
-Driver’s license in good standing (Own vehicle preferred)
-Must wear company provided uniforms during all working hours
-Must be able to maintain safe operation and neat appearance of work area and equipment
-Routinely lifting heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Basic computer and tech skills
-Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Proven ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks
-Meet schedules and timelines
-Work cooperatively with team members and others
-Strong attention to detail
