Job Overview
Super Heroes Humane Society is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Thrift Shop Manager to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, managing inventory, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will have great organizational skills and a keen eye for merchandising and design.
Responsibilities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing sales and managing the cash register.
- Organize inventory on the sales floor, ensuring all items are displayed attractively and accessible to customers.
- Keep inventory fresh by bringing new donations to the sales floor and marking items down as appropriate.
- Train and develop new volunteers in store policies, procedures, and best practices for customer service.
- Supervise daily operations when needed, including delegating tasks to team members and ensuring compliance with store policies.
- Promote items and sales on social media.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and inviting store environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is beneficial.
- Experience in supervising staff is a plus.
- A strong ability to manage stock levels efficiently while maintaining an organized and inviting retail space is essential.
