The Human Resource Manager will oversee the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) administrative department including onboarding, payroll, internal benefit dashboards and compliance, and development and enforcement of company policies and practices.
Essential Functions

1. Reviews, tracks, and documents all payroll request to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions; Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates.
2. Complete reports, extract and analyze data from HRIS systems and related sources.
3. Facilitate claims including Workers Comp, UI, FMLA and Return-to-Work programs.
4. In collaboration with the HR Director, manages the internal ben admin dashboards and employee benefits programs, including enrollment, administration, and communication.
5. Manage HR Admin’s daily task to ensure efficient practices; identify and recommend updates to current HR software, systems and procedures.
6. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
7. Manages most complex and/or sensitive employment-related matters and inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
8. Attends and participates in advising managers on employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
9. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
10. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office and, in some cases, from a remote offsite location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

The position is primarily sedentary and requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires good manual dexterity and coordination with the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours can change at the discretion of the HR Director; though typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some weekend and evening hours will be necessary to accommodate any issues that might arise.
Travel
This position requires 5% travel time.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelors or equivalent degree. Minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience, or equivalent preferred.
2. 5 years of experience in human resources administration.
3. HR Certification, SHRM-CP or SHRMs Specialty Credential preferred.
4. Must possess additional coursework/training in Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, etc.
5. Must have experience with ADP.
6. Must possess strong knowledge of FLSA and FMCSA compliance standards.
7. Must be 21 years of age or older.
8. Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
9. Experience in benefits administration, including Work-Injury processes, preferred.
