SVI Trucks builds custom fire apparatus, including rescue trucks, hazmat units, command vehicles, fire engines, tanker trucks, law enforcement vehicles and more. Every truck that leaves the factory is truly one-of-a-kind thanks to innovative engineering and meticulous construction.
SVI Trucks is currently seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our Fabrication team. The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating cutting equipment to precisely cut various materials used in the fabrication of emergency vehicles, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the production process.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for all extruded items including aluminum, steel and stainless steel
- Prepare materials for cutting by measuring, marking, and positioning them appropriately, ensuring adherence to design requirements and quality standards according to blueprints.
- Utilize a bandsaw to accurately cut materials such as aluminum, steel and stainless steel according to project specifications.
- Responsible for ordering materials that are kept on hand
- Ability to read blue prints
- Ability to keep work organized
- Working knowledge of fabrication processes
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

- Able to contribute in a fast paced/team atmosphere
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures when operating cutting machinery, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Pass a pre-employment agility & drug test and criminal background check
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb ladders

Compensation: $18-$22/hr
Job Type: Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, Day Shift Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
