Medical Physicist, Dosimetry
Location: Columbia, SC 29203
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Duration: 13 weeks
Required Experience: ARIA, VARIAN, TRUEBEAM
Required Certs/Licenses: DABR - Therapeutic Medical Physics
Weekly Pay: $5800-$6100/- (Travel Stipend)
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Master's Degree in Physics or Medical Physics.
- Experience: Three years of "clinical radiation physics" work experience.
Essential Functions:
- Perform HDR/LDR brachytherapy procedures as needed.
- Manage dosimetrist and treatment planning equipment, ensuring calibration and monitoring.
- Oversee quality management programs related to external beam radiotherapy.
- Participate in patient treatment planning and chart rounds.
- Advise physicians and staff regarding treatment protocols and equipment.
- Supervise radiation oncology physics program and support staff.
- Ensure maintenance and proper functioning of treatment equipment.
