IMPORTANT!
McLaren Northern has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will begin on 6 / 1 / 2024.
House Supervisor
- Collaborate with units to determine appropriate shift staffing capabilities.
- Assist unit team leaders with coordinating patient placement from Emergency Department procedure departments and referring facilities. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to place patients in an optimal setting.
- Act as a resource to nursing staff for clinical skills policy and procedures and other situations requiring leadership.
- Facilitate patient transfers in and out of McLaren Northern Hospital
- In conjunction with department leadership identifies patient care delivery issues work processes and equipment needs.
- Applies the adult learning principals to all education offerings.
- Utilizes researchbased principals in the education of staff and patients.
- Functions as a role model / mentor and a clinical resource.
- Supports units on nursing needs this may include taking an assignment assisting with transportation and other nursing duties.
