Job Title: Lead Piping Designer
Client: Southern California Gas
Location: Hybrid
Compensation: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour

We are seeking a Lead Piping Designer to oversee the piping portion of projects while working closely with Owner Representatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with previous lead experience and at least five years of experience at an EPC company. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D software, piping design, modeling, and drawing creation. The candidate will interface with internal project managers, engineers, vendors, and owner representatives to ensure design work is aligned with project objectives.

• Oversee Piping Projects: Independently manage the piping portion of projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Interface with Owner Representatives: Collaborate closely with owner representatives to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
• Review Vendor Drawings and Approve Design Work: Evaluate and approve vendor-submitted designs to ensure they align with project standards.
• Utilize Aveva Software: Create detailed piping drawings, perform modeling, and manage the design using the latest AutoCAD or Aveva software.
• Coordinate with Internal Teams: Work closely with project managers and engineers to align piping designs with project goals and timelines.

• Experience: 15 years preferred, with at least 5 years spent at an EPC company.
• Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D or Aveva software.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead piping design projects independently.
• Self-Sufficient: Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.
