Who Are We Looking For?

The Production Manager will play a critical role in overseeing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely production of goods. This role requires strong leadership to manage production teams and optimize resources while maintaining high-quality standards. The Production Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in Superfeet’s production facility.

What You’ll Do

Production Planning & Scheduling:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., planning, logistics, quality control) to align production goals and meet deadlines.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust as necessary to maintain efficiency.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure proper allocation of materials, tools, equipment, and personnel.
  • Capacity Planning: Assess and plan for the capacity of the assembly process, considering current and future demands.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and supervise production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular meetings, including performance reviews, with team members to address issues, provide training, promote teamwork and employee development.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are followed and that the work environment is safe for employees.

Quality Control

  • Ensure products meet quality standards by implementing and overseeing regular inspections and testing procedures in coordination with the Product Quality Manager.
  • Address any quality issues by collaborating with the quality team to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of production processes and quality checks.

Process Improvement

  • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices, continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma), and other strategies to streamline operations.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production line.

Resource Management

  • Monitor and control the use of raw materials, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal usage and minimize waste.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent delays in production.
  • Collaborate with planning teams to forecast and secure necessary materials and components.

Reporting, Communication & Compliance

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on production progress, challenges, and performance metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and resolve any operational issues.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all aspects of the production process.
  • Ensure that environmental and safety protocols are followed at all times.

Your Skills And Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean practices.
  • Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to adhere to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Production Management or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or move around for extended periods and occasionally lift materials or equipment.
  • Forklift driving experience

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000

Location: Ferndale, WA (On-site)
