Outside Sales Representative
Position Overview
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships by meeting customers face-to-face. This role involves prospecting leads, scheduling appointments, presenting products or services, and negotiating contracts to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify potential customers through networking, cold-calling, referrals, and other lead-generation activities.
- Client Visits & Relationship Building: Travel to meet with clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions.
- Product/Service Presentations: Conduct in-depth presentations and demonstrations of products or services, lunch & learns, pop up events, highlighting key features, benefits, and pricing.
- Territory Management: Organize sales activities within an assigned region, track progress, and develop strategies to increase market share.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status; provide regular updates to management.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends and competitor activities, sharing insights with the sales team and management to refine sales strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales, account management, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport quickly.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory; valid driver’s license required.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace is preferred.
