Job Summary:
The Fire Protection General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fire protection services, including business operations, project management, sales, compliance, and team leadership. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and financial success while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of fire protection services, including installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems.
- Develop and implement efficient processes to enhance productivity and service quality.
- Ensure all fire protection projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations.
2. Sales & Business Development
- Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding customer relationships.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to promote fire protection services.
3. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with national, state, and local fire codes, NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, and other industry standards.
- Maintain proper licensing, permits, and certifications required for fire protection services.
- Conduct safety training and enforce best practices to minimize risks and hazards.
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fire protection technicians, project managers, and administrative staff.
- Oversee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development of employees.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence in service delivery.
5. Financial & Budget Management
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor expenses, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize company performance.
6. Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Act as a key point of contact for high-value clients and large-scale projects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in fire protection, life safety, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, fire safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
- Proven experience in leadership, business operations, and team management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
