Performs various jobs in foundry concerned with the receipt of scrap material including weighing, transporting, dumping, storing and identifying.
Responsibilities:
- Understands and participates in "Take Control of SAFETY"
- Operates mobile equipment such as: pay loaders, forklifts, and skid steers
- Identifies material for accuracy and identification
- Weighs material by use of scales
- Marks and identifies material for processing
- Handles a portion of maintaining equipment by the process of Preventative Maintenance
- Assists with processing of scrap through shredder or dryer
- Transports and stages material before and after processing procedure
- Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors or trucks
- Tests material as needed
- Assists with housekeeping standards for the area
- 1-2 years manufacturing experience
- Problem Solving Skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail
