Superior Fabrication, LLC, a leading steel manufacturer known for its commitment to superior quality, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part Kitter/Material Handler to join our growing team. The Manufacturing Part Kitter / Material Handler is responsible for organizing, preparing, and distributing materials and components required for production. This role ensures that all necessary parts are accurately picked, packed, and delivered to the appropriate workstations, supporting efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
· Essential Job Functions:
· Kitting & Material Preparation: Collect and assemble parts, components, and materials into kits based on production work orders and schedules.
· Inventory Management: Track, count, and maintain accurate inventory levels, reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
· Material Handling: Safely transport materials and kits to designated production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
· Quality Control: Verify materials against work orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and quality standards.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of kitted materials, stock movements, and usage in inventory management systems.
· Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, warehouse staff, and supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
· Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
· Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or material handling.
· Ability to read and understand work orders, part numbers, and inventory documentation.
· Ability to understand manufacturing process to know what parts need to be where and when
· Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to lift and move heavy materials (as required).
Forklift certification
· Perform other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
