We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter/Stainer to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone with experience in staining fences using a sprayer and/or hand-rolling techniques. The ideal candidate will be extremely careful to avoid overspray on nearby houses, cars, or landscaping and take pride in delivering high-quality, professional finishes. When not staining in the field, this individual will assist in the warehouse, helping to stage jobs and maintain an organized workspace.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Apply stain to fences using a sprayer and/or hand-rolling techniques.
- Take precautionary measures to prevent stain from affecting surrounding properties (e.g., masking, wind awareness).
- Ensure clean, even coverage while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.
- Perform touch-ups and final inspections to ensure a professional finish.
- Maintain and clean staining equipment for peak performance.
- Assist in the warehouse by pulling orders, loading materials, and staging jobs.
- Help keep the shop organized and clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in painting or staining (fences, decks, wood structures).
- Ability to work carefully and precisely to avoid overspray and property damage.
- Familiarity with sprayers, rollers, and staining techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
- Experience in construction or warehouse work is a plus.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset.
