Responsibilities:
- Prepare steel surfaces for painting by power washing, some hand cleaning, scraping, and sanding.
- Apply paint or other finishes using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.
- Adjust painting equipment as necessary to maintain quality and production standards.
- Take precautions to prevent runs, lags, dry spray, and contamination in coatings.
- Rig large objects safely for movement during the industrial painting process.
- Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear, including respirators and safety glasses.
- Manage inventory of paints, solvents, and materials used in the painting process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an industrial painter.
