Job Overview: The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our remodeling projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential construction, commercial construction, strong organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. They will work closely with clients, staff, subcontractors, vendors, and our internal team to ensure that every project runs smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and expectations for each remodeling project.
- Secure necessary permits and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Team Management & Supervision:
- Supervise subcontractors, carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople as needed.
- Provide clear instructions and maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
- Budget Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring projects stay within cost expectations.
- Approve project expenses and purchase materials as needed, ensuring cost-effective sourcing.
- Scheduling:
- Establish and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Adjust project timelines as necessary, ensuring that delays are minimized and clients are kept informed.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor the progress of the work to ensure it meets Superior Home Remodeling’s high standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues related to quality or safety.
- Client Communication:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project.
- Provide regular updates and ensure the client’s needs are being met, handling any concerns or changes to the scope of work promptly.
- Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution:
- Address and resolve any issues that arise on the job site, including scheduling conflicts, labor issues, or project delays.
- Ensure that any unforeseen issues are managed efficiently, with minimal impact on the project timeline and budget.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all projects comply with safety regulations and that proper safety protocols are in place for all workers on-site.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3 years) in project management within the residential construction or remodeling industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Emotional intelligence
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Ability to manage budgets and work with cost estimation software.
- Ability to manage client relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments, including job sites.
- Ability to lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Occasional long hours and weekend work depending on project deadlines.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
