Job Title: Hospice On-Call Nurse
Location: Greater Twin Cities Metro Area (21 County Service Area)
Compensation: $90,000 – $130,000 DOE
Schedule: 7 Days On / & Days Off

Hospice On-Call Nurse Responsibilities:
- Emergency Response: Provide skilled nursing interventions to manage symptoms, pain, and urgent needs during evening and overnight hours
- Telephonic Support: Offer compassionate, knowledgeable guidance to families and caregivers over the phone
- Care Coordination: Work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth, coordinated care transitions
- Emotional Comfort: Provide emotional and psychological support during end-of-life moments
- Medication Management: Administer medications and ensure adherence to hospice protocols
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and timely records of patient care interactions
Qualifications:
- RN Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in Minnesota
- Hospice Expertise Required: Deep understanding of hospice principles, practices, and symptom management
- Compassionate Nature: Empathy and dedication to supporting families and patients through the end-of-life journey
- Critical Thinking: Ability to assess urgent situations and make confident clinical decisions
- Strong Communication Skills: Clear, compassionate communication—both verbal and written
- Availability: Flexibility and reliability for evening, overnight, and weekend on-call responsibilities
