Job Summary: The Production Manager will be directly responsible for overseeing the Profit and Loss (P&L) and overall performance of the division. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive operational efficiency, implement effective strategic planning, and ensure the highest standards of production quality and safety.
Deliverables
- P&L Management: Oversee the division's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to ensure profitability.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing production team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing quality control processes as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as supply chain, engineering, and sales, to align production goals with overall business objectives.

- Daily Safety Meeting
- Daily coordination of people, information, and materials
- Continuous improvement activities
- Team development (hiring, coaching, evaluating, training)
- Project management of process development projects
- Develop and maintain a production schedule for all orders (build to order & build to stock)
- Daily whiteboard meeting with Team Leads to prioritize people & materials
- Lead the Job Relations meeting with Team Leads

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience - ideally in welding and fabrication
- Manufacturing Engineering experience is a plus
- Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficient in production planning and scheduling
