Job Description: Chemist
This position will support production through chemical analysis, maintenance, and development of plating baths and wastewater treatment. This candidate will be working in a plating operation located in Anheim and Santa Fe Springs, CA, and must be comfortable working around chemicals. This candidate shall have the ability to communicate effectively with their peers and operate in the fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop procedures for analysis of different components in plating baths
- Create and maintain logs and determine an appropriate schedule for routine analysis of plating baths
- Perform routine analysis based on schedule
- Review, analyze, and approve results done by lab technicians
- Work with platers to ensure proper additions are made to each plating bath
- Ensure that all tank and wastewater treatment parameters are monitored and maintained
- Aid in troubleshooting bath chemistry
- Maintain inventory of lab equipment and supplies
- Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure they are in the good working condition
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. in Chemistry
- Technical writing skill
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 30lbs
- Experience with titration
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with Atomic Absorption spectroscopy or Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) and Spectrophotometry
- Experience working in manufacturing environment
- Experience working in laboratory environment
- Experience in plating process and operation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,677.62 - $106,410.79 per year
