Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year (based on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Overview: We are seeking a meticulous Estimator for a direct hire opportunity with our client. The ideal candidate will excel in evaluating contract documents, collaborating with the sales team on bidding strategies, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate contract documents and collaborate with the sales team on bidding strategies.
- Stay informed about upcoming construction projects in Dubuque.
- Address architectural queries regarding hardware specifications.
- Foster relationships with Architects and Contractors.
- Customize hardware solutions for Design-Build projects.
- Acquire project plans and specs for accurate and timely bids.
- Identify discrepancies in construction documents and initiate requests for information.
- Conduct detailed take-offs and estimates, including material, freight, engineering, and installation costs.
- Ensure timely delivery of manufacturer quotes.
- Review colleagues' queries and quotations for accuracy.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of estimating experience.
- Knowledge of the construction industry, doors, frames, hardware, codes, and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient multitasking ability.
- Excellent mathematical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills, with proficiency in MS Excel.
