Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative provides customer support and interacts with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. Performs various functions, including maintaining office clerical tasks including inventory, sales, financial, and operations records.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and provide helpful and accurate information on products or services.
- Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services.
- Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
- Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns.
- Maintains overall continuity of paperwork, including finance applications, sales contracts, customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
- Plan and schedule service appointments
- Check in parts and inventory, receive PO’s
- Assist in maintaining the general organization and professional appearance of the entire facility, which may include, maintain in-stock products, restocking shelves, organizing products, and maintaining a clean environment
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases, managing a cash drawer, taking in daily cash, check and credit card transactions
- Carry out other store administrative tasks as directed by the General Manager.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Monthly inventory counts
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and multitask.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Notary Public, a plus
- Bilingual, a plus
- Dealers License (may be obtained during employment)
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2-3 years relevant work experience preferred.
- Two years administrative experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Lifting, standing, bending, or reaching, is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
