Job description
We are looking for full time Front Office Coordinator for a small specialty medical practice. You will primarily be assisting the doctor by moving patients through their visit. You will also be responsible for administrative duties such as answering phones and scheduling patients, creating cost estimates and collecting patient responsibility, verifying benefits, and daily chart prep. About Our Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a team player with a "can-do" attitude and highly efficient organizational and communication skills. This is a vital position in the office, and we require someone who is comfortable assuming various roles and responsibilities throughout the day. You will perform routine administrative assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. Spanish fluency is preferred!
Responsibilities
Greet patients in an enthusiastic manner as they arrive and guides them through the initial steps of the consultation process
Answer phone calls; clearly and accurately answer patient questions and schedule appointments
Complete insurance verification
Create cost estimates
Collect co-pays and other procedure payments; issue receipts
Guide patients with completing paperwork
Create, organize, and update all patient files by maintaining a focused approach to data entry in EMR system to ensure that required information is accurate and available on a timely basis.
Provide exceptional customer service to ensure patient retention and satisfaction.
Maintain knowledge of company products, services and operational policies/procedures.
Escort patient to rooms and collect photos and measurements for compression stockings.
Accurately convey patient information/concerns to doctor.
Explain procedure details to patients including fees, insurance coverage and
after-care instructions.
Check inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed.
Help turning over rooms between procedures; clean rooms after procedures.
Capture patient before/after photos and upload to EMR.
Maintain accuracy in filing documents such as EOBs and insurance
authorizations.
Complete Chart prep daily
Maintain inventory and manage ordering as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum two years experience in medical assisting, healthcare administration or other related fields.
Must have experience in front office and back office duties and be able to juggle both.
Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy of work.
Exceptional customer service skills and bedside manner.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Effective and confident communicator.
Basic computer literacy.
Familiarity with medical billing procedures and EMR system preferred.
Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Positive attitude and punctuality required.
Medical Assistant certificate, associates degree or similar certification preferred.
