What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Administrator/Shipping Clerk position at SuperMoss?
Natural Pack Inc. is a Santa Barbara based parent corporation that manages multiple brands in the pet and garden industries. Our largest brands are SuperMoss and Galapagos. We are searching for a motivated person in Thomaston, GA for Shipping Office Coordinator. In this position, you will be expected to understand the nature our business from the ground up. You will need to have a charismatic attitude for working in the warehouse and patience for learning the details of our office tasks. You will work directly with other members of the company on projects such as product education, catalog updating, responding to emails, and answering phones.
Over time, this role will be a key member of our business model. The essential job functions include, but not limited to the following:
-MAS 90 or Sage100 experience desirable
-Ship Small Parcel & LTL Pallets with FedEx, UPS, and Commercial Carriers (Estes, XPO, TForce…)
-Study Vendor Routing Guides to properly ship larger customers avoiding chargebacks
-Shop for competitive rate quotes for trucking
-Maintain relationships with our larger suppliers (cardboard box companies)
-Shop for competitive quotes with respect to warehouse procurement
-Work with warehouse staff to coordinate production, inventory stock and cycle count
-Conduct a yearly physical inventory count in July
-Review Receiving Report for incoming containers and check for damages and quality issues.
-Research standard protocol in order to implement and manage special projects within the warehouse
-Create tools (spreadsheets) to make reports and organize your work. For example, Key Account Shipping Manual
-Communicate effectively with other facilities and head office via phone and email
-Brainstorm with our team ways to improve how our business performs by highlighting areas for improvement and gaps in service
-Track inventory and update figures in our software
-Track each order from Sales to Order Entry to Picking to Shipping and Back Orders.
-Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to understand both business and customer goals
-Answer phones and emails professionally while dealing directly with customers
-Demonstrate excellent customer service skills through all levels of the organization
-Use internal system to verify orders have shipped correctly
