Warehouse Technician/Forklift Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of operations, supporting shipping and receiving processes, and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload products within the warehouse.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, up to 50 lbs and ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
• Palletize, band, and wrap out going shipments.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are Q'cd correctly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with supervisor to optimize workflow and address any operational issues.
• Crate and un-crate granite for production.
• Load and un-load trucks.
• Make in town deliveries in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• All other duties asked.

Requirements

• Experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution center is a must.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment while multi-tasking.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedly.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
• Must possess valid forklift certification or be willing to obtain certification through company training.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Valid drivers licenses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
