ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead the engineering and document control team to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Coach the team for self-sufficiency and proactive contributions.
- Demonstrate effective communication and professionalism.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.
- Stay organized and adaptable, following instructions effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Collaborate with customer engineering to improve designs.
- Manage document control to ensure timely project completion.
- Understand company services and SMT equipment; experience with programming and interpreting x-ray images is a plus.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks, reflow profiles, and machinery troubleshooting.
- Experience with selective and wave soldering, assembly fab drawings, and writing DFM reports.
- Conduct defect review and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with engineers and floor personnel, and have experience in stencil design and rework processes.
- Knowledge of label creation and IPC/J-STD training.
- Experience with Stencil Design using Gerbers, CAD, and any other design tool
- Experience with Rework processes Hot Air, BGA repair, Wash/PCA cleaning, and routine solder iron rework.
- TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT
- Assist in researching industry trends and establishing a technology roadmap to maintain competitive advantage.
- Expected outcomes:
- Report on internal capabilities versus market requirements for customer satisfaction.
- Monitor disruptive technologies and their impacts on the business.
- Keep leadership informed on EMS technology trends and market requirements for strategic planning. staff investments
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 10 years in electronic manufacturing services; 5 years in new product introductions
- Required SMT Manufacturing or EMS experience
- Extensive knowledge of PCBA processes, high-level assemblies, and box builds
- Client-facing experience with strong communication skills
- Lean/Six Sigma experience required; Black Belt certification preferred
- Experience in leading change and transformation
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff with integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Experience with PCB design and CAD tools such as Valor, Cadence, Cam 350, Autocad, Solidworks
- Ability to lead and manage projects
- Understanding of business finance required
- Experience in a regulated industry such as aerospace, defense, or medical device

Range: $180K-$220K
