What are the responsibilities and job description for the KSS Design Consultant position at Supply New England Inc?
Showroom Sales
- Warmly greet and welcome all customers entering the showroom.
- Present a polished and professional image at all times.
- Qualify customers to efficiently identify how Supply New England can meet their needs.
- Utilize Microsoft Teams to communicate with colleagues regarding customer interaction and required follow-up.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products offered by Supply New England with particular emphasis on Kohler brands.
- Accurately enter all showroom bids and sales using Solar Eclipse and Salesforce
- Utilize the sales tools in Solar Eclipse & Salesforce, including bid follow-up, calling queues and trouble queues to manage all sales and potential sales.
- Designate all “opportunities” in Salesforce as won, lost (including why), or other.
- Promote and execute design services using all required contracts, including Kohler BD (Bathroom Design Services).
- Perform site visits for field measures and jobsite meetings as needed for design services.
- Provide layouts/elevations, specifications, mood boards and installation instructions as needed.
- Follow the customer qualification, presentation and closing methods of the company.
- Track order status using the purchasing process in Eclipse and using vendor partner websites where applicable.
- Follow the Gallery Purchasing Guide to ensure the proper product procurement methods are used.
- Procure and ship product as needed.
- Stay current on stocking and inventory levels to maximize sales and provide solutions for the
- client.
- Clearly explain and sell all available delivery services based on the customer’s needs.
- Continuously meet and exceed sales goals as outlined for the individual consultant.
- Promote all Supply New England events and sales promotions as required.
- Maintain relationships with trade contacts to sustain repeat business.
- Pursue new trade contacts & leads to create new business.
General
- Adhere to the posted showroom schedule.
- Attend events as requested. Both in-house and off-site.
- Assist with in-house event execution as requested.
- Assist with showroom maintenance and upkeep. Light cleaning is required.
- Maintain showroom samples and literature, identify & communicate when stock is needed.
- Prepare the showroom for opening and closing.
- Turn on/off lighting, clean and maintain active displays, clear samples & prepare work
- surfaces for the next business day, etc.
- Additional tasks & projects as needed.

Applicable experience includes work history in:
- A kitchen, bath or tile showroom at the sales level or above .
- A home center in the kitchen design department.
- In a customer-facing, design position at an interior design or architecture firm, or
- for a custom builder/contractor.
- A designer position at a furniture or other home décor retailer
Training & Continuing Education
- Attend all required training. Occasional out-of-state travel will be required.
- Complete and pass all online training opportunities as offered by vendor partners.
- Consistently stay current on product changes, discontinuations, and new offerings.
- Attend all required staff meetings including monthly virtual meetings for the Showroom Division.
