Summary/Objective
The Inventory Management Specialist will negotiate with vendors for the purchase of assigned materials, supplies, equipment, and services used by the company.

- Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and
- Develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
- Establishes account/credit and terms.
- Negotiates blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors cost during the time frame.
- Assist in the identification and cause analysis of surplus inventory and resolve as necessary.
- Efficiently ensure accurate inventory levels to ensure customer's demands are met.
- Communicate directly with the Director with updates regarding stock inflow and outflow.
- Compile inventory data and present it to the Director for effective decision making.
- Investigate inventory issues and execute necessary improvements towards better business
- Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers.
- Works closely with the receiving department to ensure proper supplies arrived.
- Traces delinquent arrivals from purchase orders.
- Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.
- Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, quantitative fields or equivalent industry experience.
- At least two years of purchasing experience.
- Experience in plumbing, heating, HVAC, or electrical industry preferred.
