As we grow, we are looking for a Residential Program Coordinator to join our team, supporting various residential services. We prefer candidates who are QIDP-certified or eligible to complete the QIDP requirement with SSVA.

As the Residential Program Coordinator, you will play a mission-critical role in overseeing residential services and support for people with Developmental Disabilities in the Danville area. This role serves as the primary contact for Site Coordinators and Direct Support Professionals, ensuring smooth daily operations and strong collaboration across the team.

Compensation:

The Residential Program Coordinator position’s pay rate will be $16.50 - $17.50 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties with Support Services of Virginia’s mission, vision, and core values as guideposts.
  • Create an inspiring team environment within the Residential program with a culture of clear and effective communication.
  • Set clear team goals and motivate team members to work towards them.
  • Discover skills development needs of team members and provide guidance and coaching.
  • Delegate tasks based on team members’ strengths and skills, set deadlines, and follow up.
  • Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of regional residential services, working closely with team members across programs and departments.
  • Monitor team performance and report on key metrics such as scheduling and staffing, resource allocation and expenses, employee performance and competencies, serious incidents, and risk mitigation.
  • Serve as the point of contact for referrals to programs and track admissions.
  • Work closely with internal and external clinicians to provide input for and feedback on Person-Centered Individual Support Plans and other care plans.
  • Facilitate, attend, and document team, site, and individual meetings to enhance communication and ensure consistency of services and skills.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a leader and in supporting individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
  • Extensive understanding of DMAS (Department of Medical Assistance Services), HCBS (Home & Community-Based Services), DBHDS (Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services), and Licensure regulations.
  • Qualified Intellectual/Developmental Disability Professional (QIDP) Certification (or eligibility for certification).
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Strong integrity, compassion, honesty, and independence.
  • Ability to inspire and support team members while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to process information and create clear, concise, and timely reports.
  • Flexible weekly schedule to meet programmatic needs and attend required meetings and training on and off site.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft platforms and experience with training, payroll, and electronic health records systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of Developmental Disabilities.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID.
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks.
  • Valid Virginia Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services Field.
