Position Overview:

As a Behavior Consultant at SBS, you’ll work directly with individuals and their support teams to help them reach personal life goals. You’ll receive guidance and support from experienced Regional Directors and Executive Leadership, all of whom are practicing Behavior Consultants themselves. Our team creates supportive, person-centered environments where everyone is empowered to succeed.

What You'll Do:

· Assess behavioral functions and develop Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA).

· Design and implement personalized Behavior Support Plans (BSP).

· Offer direct and ongoing behavior support to individuals and their families.

· Train staff and caregivers on Behavior Support Plans.

· Collaborate with service providers and support teams to help clients meet their goals.

Requirements:

· Master’s degree in psychology, social work, applied behavior analysis, counseling, education, or a related field.

· State and County background checks, CPR/First Aid certification, negative TB test, professional liability insurance, and reliable transportation with insurance.

Memo from the Indiana Medicaid Waiver on how solicitation is allowed:

“Oftentimes, an individual will work for a Medicaid waiver service provider or care management company, then go on to start their own company or move to a new provider/care management agency. In the window of time where they are starting their own company or transferring employment, they are allowed to tell their clients they are starting their own company or transferring employment, and that the client must switch to their new company if they would like to maintain the same personnel serving them. The new business owner will appear on the picklist (generated from CaMSS) when they are approved as a provider, and at that point, Medicaid waiver participants may choose to work with them.
