Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences and falling within effective food costing.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and team collaboration.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle catering requests and special events as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or catering industry.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management, food service operations, and hospitality best practices.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.

- Restaurant is open four days per week, but required to work additional private events as they arise on off days (typically ten to twelve days per year).
