Location: Onsite in Cincinnati, OH with potential for hybrid
SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for planning manufacturing orders (jobs) / subcontract purchase orders to fulfill customer demand / forecasts, tracking orders, creating and maintaining established inventory levels, negotiating with suppliers when required, supporting quality assurance and liaising with logistics and management team. The Analyst will work with staff across departments to understand and forecast the needs of the business and make data-based scheduling decisions to ensure customer deliverables.
Qualifications/Ideal Candidate:
The Supply Chain Analyst must be a resourceful problem solver with excellent time management skills. An eager self-starter who takes initiative, this individual will also be very organized and detail-oriented with the ability to remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate is a team player, possesses a positive attitude, and a desire to constantly learn.
Sur-Seal Supply Chain Analyst Accountabilities:
· Review messages in MRP to plan / buy finished parts, components, and materials
· Initiate and maintain proper planning parameters to support the sales plans for the facility
· Review MRP expedite messages for orders that are urgent, as well as expediting materials that are requested by the commercial group
· Request acknowledgements from supplier including ship/dock dates and review to ensure finished parts, components, and materials are in line with cost and requested need by dates.
· Reviews and submits special purchase order requests
· De-expedite materials that are high dollar value and not urgent
· Check iON / POD daily for new material set ups / revision, items that need to be turned on in MRP, including setting buffers, reviews material/tooling that needs to be bought etc.
· Review customer lead-time and need to stock for high dollar and short shelf-life items
· Investigates root causes for missed sales orders
· Monitoring and ensuring all metrics and goals are met for the day
· Develop plans for continuous improvement of the processes and data
· Communicate any supply problems which may impact business operations
The ideal candidate for the Supply Chain Analyst role at Sur-Seal has the following:
· A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or 1-3 years of supply chain experience.
· Proficient Excel skills, including formulas, subtotals, filters, pivots, etc.
· Excellent professional communication skills
· Experience with ERP systems, preferred (Epicor a plus)
· Ability to research and resolve issues
