How You'll Make An ImpactAs a Business Operations Analyst with Surefire Cyber, you will be reporting and making recommendations directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This pivotal role leverages your cybersecurity expertise to optimize operations, enhance financial accuracy, and drive informed decisions that strengthen organizational efficiency and collaboration. You will play a critical role in supporting the CFO and senior leadership by driving process optimization, ensuring financial accuracy, and providing data-driven insights to inform strategic business decisions.
Your role involves interfacing with key stakeholders, including cyber insurance carriers, law firms, third-party vendors, and Surefire Cyber vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration and compliance across diverse engagements. Through your ability to analyze complex data, interpret reports, and provide actionable recommendations, you will influence operational practices, refine organizational policies, and enhance overall business performance.
Your Role In Action- Partner closely with the CFO to oversee and manage operational projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
- Independently analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Work closely with cyber insurance carriers, law firms, third-party vendors, and internal teams to address invoicing, contractual, and operational matters.
- Review and evaluate client agreements, financial reports, and operational workflows, applying critical thinking skills to resolve discrepancies and support revenue-generating activities.
- Develop and implement systems and processes to optimize financial workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage key business initiatives, ensuring objectives and milestones are met.
- Leverage your cybersecurity expertise to assess and enhance data integrity, information management, and data security protocols.
- Support the preparation of financial and operational reports, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution to stakeholders.
- Contribute to process optimization by identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction.
- Assist in scheduling, preparing reports, and creating presentations to support leadership initiatives and business strategy.
- Respond to requests or provide client outreach outside of normal business hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed to ensure high-quality outcomes and exceptional client service.
- Attend and participate in company meetings, conferences, and cross-departmental projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Business Administration, related field, and/or equivalent professional work experience in these areas.
- Prior experience in working in a cybersecurity professional consulting organization.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrated success interfacing with external stakeholders such as cyber insurance carriers and law firms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience analyzing data and delivering insights that influence decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization tools).
- Experience with financial reporting or data analysis tools (e.g., OpenAir, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to be flexible and respond to requests outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary to meet deadlines or support client needs.
- A proactive approach to continuous learning and process improvement.
