SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Procurement Specialist for a large, well-known client in Pleasant Prairie, WI. As a skilled Procurement Specialist you will perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. Responsibilities include keeping financial records up to date, preparing reports, processing debits and credits, and reconciling bank statements. Our ideal candidate will also be familiar with running accounting software programs (e.g. SAP) to process business transactions. A strong work history with accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts is a must. Successful applicants should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a general aptitude for numbers Ultimately, we are seeking someone who will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions consistently run accurately and effectively. Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include 1st shift. Procurement Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in procurement, operations, and client meetings (provide details as requested)
- Report variances to the Site director
- Place purchase orders and combine orders when possible
- Participate in vendor and department calls (provide details as requested)
- Report issues regarding vendor product quality, dependability, and service issues
- Following ISO processes and procedures
- Provide Purchasing support for facility
- Handle expedite requests, monitor to insure no shortages & that materials are not below minimum safety stock
- Organizational and planning skills, including ability to: prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set personal goals and enforce personal deadlines,while maintaining flexibility to reassess and prioritize goals
- Analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
- Computer literacy
- High School Diploma with 2 years experience in procurement preferred but not required.
- Possess strong organizational interpersonal skills. Experience working with Excel, Word, Power Point, SAP and Outlook.
