Accounting Manager

Our medical device client in Carlsbad is growing their finance team! We are seeking an Accounting Manager / Cost Accountant , who will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing the financial aspects of our client’s manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. The role is essential in providing insights into cost efficiencies, pricing strategies, and financial performance to support the organization’s growth and profitability.

Please note, this role is fully onsite in Carlsbad, San Diego.

Qualifications of the Accounting Manager / Cost Accountant :

• 3 years in a cost accountant focused role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred
• Knowledge of cost accounting modules within ERP systems, ideally Microsoft AX
• Manufacturing company experience required
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with a strong sense of personal responsibility
• Knowledge of the full suite of general ledger accounts that support the financial statements
