Job Overview:
As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency. You will manage and mentor the kitchen team, work closely with the front-of-house staff, and maintain inventory control, cleanliness, and safety standards. You’ll also contribute to menu planning and collaborate with the leadership team to improve kitchen efficiency and increase guest satisfaction.
You must have flexibility to work varying shifts to accommodate banquet and event needs by overseeing food preparation and presentation and ensuring timely and efficient service.
Essential Duties:
- Ability to multi-task and extensively plan kitchen activities
- Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools
- Working knowledge of food handling regulations and kitchen safety
- Strong communication and customer service skills, basic knowledge of Spanish preferred
- Must possess the leadership and mentorship skills to motivate the mostly Spanish speaking kitchen staff

Certificates, Licenses, and registrations:
Oregon Food Handler Certification required
Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
