Responsibilities:
- Assist in troubleshooting and corrective maintenance related to equipment, including inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment to diagnose mechanical malfunctions.
- Dismantle and rebuild machinery, equipment, and field devices as part of a sanitation process.
- Assist in dismantle and rebuild machinery, equipment, and field devices to access and remove defective parts using hand tools or power tools.
- Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or performing other preventive maintenance tasks.
- Utilize prints, repair manuals, and/or parts catalogs to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
- Assist in repair of machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments, or electronic testing devices.
- Complete training on how to maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, including control field devices, contactors, starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, photo eyes, VFDs, HMIs, interlock safety devices, etc.
- Provide positive self-motivation to achieve departmental goals.
- Review and complete work orders timely, conducting necessary maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures at all times and ensure all Maintenance Personnel are following LOTO procedures at all times.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), or equivalent experience; vocational training or associates with an electromechanical focus preferred.
- 2 years of experience with automated equipment preferred; 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting preferred.
- Possess strong self-motivation to gain knowledge of machines, diagnostics tools, and hand tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance.
- Able to communicate complex information effectively to other employees.
- Able to assist in troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical, controls, and electrical issues.
- Know how to use basic computer programs like Microsoft Office.
- Able to strictly follow any and all safety procedures and policies in place.
- Able to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Know how to operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Possess adequate hand dexterity to manipulate or move objects.
- Able to work well with others in a team environment.
