Pay: $17 - $18 per hour
Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Laborer to join our team on the first shift. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in various tasks around the shop, ensuring a clean and safe work environment, and supporting our fabricators in their daily operations. This position is perfect for someone with a strong work ethic, the ability to work well in a team, and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning & Grinding Handrails: Perform manual labor to clean and grind handrails as part of the preparation process for fabrication and finishing.
- Drilling Angles: Assist with drilling angles for fabrication, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
- Assist Fabricators: Provide support to fabricators by lifting and moving parts, ensuring they have what they need to complete their work efficiently.
- General Shop Cleaning: Keep the shop organized and clean by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from work areas to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- Tool Maintenance: Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Additional Tasks: Assist with any other tasks that may be required to keep the production process moving smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Experience: No prior experience required, but experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items (up to [X] pounds) and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure that tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly, particularly when cleaning and preparing parts.
- Teamwork: Must be able to work well with others and take direction from supervisors and fabricators.
