Front Desk Representative
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, doctors, vendors and employees in a professional manner.
- Check in patients
- Collect copayments
- Prepare charts for upcoming appointments
- Answer and direct phone calls promptly and efficiently.
- Answer or direct incoming emails and faxes promptly
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area.
- Closing duties such as reconciling daily payments
- Provide general administrative support, such as data entry, document preparation, updating demographic or insurance information as needed.
- Monitor office supplies and coordinate replenishment as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Medical receptionist, front desk representative, or similar role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and positive attitude.
Work Environment:
- Office setting with a desk-based role.
- May require standing for extended periods when assisting visitors.
- Regular use of computers, telephones, and office equipment.
