Responsibilities:
Registers patients checking in for visits
Processes all medical record requests, including but not limited to FMLA paperwork, insurance and attorney requests.
Switchboard Role - Answers incoming calls and directs caller to appropriate area on multi-line phone system.
Responsible for scanning incoming outside records, authorizations and notes into EMR (Epic) system.
Responsible for verifying provider schedules
Collects copays and payments.
Schedules office and any other post-op visits.
Ensures adequate supplies are maintained to continue uninterrupted workflow.
Verifies demographic information, including insurance when registering patients
Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.
Demonstrates the attitudes and behaviors of Surgical Associates of Neenah, SC.
Performs other duties as assigned when appropriate.
Adheres to HIPAA guidelines set forth in Clinic policies and procedures.
Responsible for verifying accuracy and completeness of medical records.
Communicates with Business office in regards to verifying insurance and pre-certification of patients.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience preferred but not necessary
- Medical Terminology
- Computer competency utilizing Epic (preferred but not necessary)
- Excellent communication skills in customer service and experience working as a company team member
- Ability to fulfill SAN's standards and values when performing scheduling tasks
- Display kindness and be open to providing scheduling accommodations to customers, clients or staff
- Attention to detail and organizational skills a must
- Ability to perform more than one task at a time and solve problems quickly

Hours: Monday-Thursday 830 to 5 pm Friday 8-4 (no nights, weekends or holidays)
